First day back to school. A fresh start to be whoever you want to be and achieve your dreams!

What a perfect day to begin this weight loss journey.
Today's weight: 156
Goal weight: 130 ( I'd love to be 120, but I think this is more realistic)
Breakfast I'm the first to admit that this is not my best meal of the day. I like my sleep better and find I'm skipping breakfast to get to work on time. Today a tea and a Danactive, but only because I am going in late.LOL

Lunch I always pack a lunch so it shouldn't be too hard to make it healthy. Today I have a green salad with leftover chicken and greek dressing, a yogurt and a bottle of water (refillable). The real challenge is going to be not having any bread...I love my bread!

Dinner unfortunately pasta...hubby is making dinner tonight.

That's okay. After dinner I plan on walking and doing a set of stairs. My son has dryland training for hockey and I will tag along. 336 steps (down),  a walk and 336 steps (back up) .

Happy New Year!!!

I started this blog last summer as a way for my 10 year old son to practice his writing skills...as you can see, it didn't work. So, since I created it, I might as well put it to good use.

I am an avid hands on, paper and embellishment kind of Scrapbooker, but I have been intrigued by the digital photo books I see everywhere lately. So this year I decided to take the "365 day photo challenge" and put all the photos into a book when I'm done! If nothing else, it is a great reason to go out and try new things and take more photos :)

Day 001...The boys in my house watching the Winter Classic on TV. I loved that they were wearing their new jerseys and even brought out the flag!
Day 002 The funniest thing ever! My 8 year old nephew wrote a letter to his mother from the cat...a spin on "the dog ate my homework"

Thanks for reading...

Week 1

Well, we're already a week into summer vacation and no entry from Kevin! I'll have to work on that.

Happy Canada Day!! A holiday and the official start to our Canadian summer. To kick it off we had our annual summer BBQ on Saturday. Its our 8th year, we've been doing it since moving into our house. About 50 of our friends and family gathered at our house this year. The kids swam in the pool, which wasn't as warm as we had hoped, but they didn't seem to notice. We had some drinks, ate and enjoyed a beautiful day.

The first full week of summer and we had a heat wave. We've been waiting so long for summer, and it slammed us hard. It rained today thank goodness and cooled things down. Brian and I both worked this week, at least there was air conditioning. Kevin went to a sports camp at Redeemer College, you'd think he'd have lots to write about wouldn't you? and Carly hung out with friends and slept.

Today a group of us from work went out for our regular Friday lunch...to my surprise they brought brownies and paid for my lunch. It was an early celebration for my birthday as I am on holidays next week. It was very nice...thanks guys!

Vacation next week!!!

Hi,

Welcome to my Blog, or the humble beginnings of one anyway. I've wanted to start a blog for awhile now but didn't know what to write about. My family, my hobbies, my thought and dreams...it's all a little overwhelming.

So, I've decided to hand over my blog to my 10 year old son. Who knows, maybe he'll have more to say than me. It was suggested that he would benefit from writing a journal over the summer. Something to improve his writing skills. We all know how that went over, right? When I suggested doing it on the computer, and posting pictures, and having followers...it all became more appealing. So this will be his for the summer but I'm sure I will contribute now and again.

Hope you enjoy.
